About Ahasiw Designs
Ahasiw (ah-ha-so) Designs was created in 2023 as a way for me to share my art with a larger audience. The name comes from the nêhiyawêwin word for crow as a homage to my love for the bird and their draw to all things sparkly. Today, my focus is on creating unique and quality beadwork that resonates with others.
Meet the Artist
Hello! My name is Sabrina (she/her) and I am a Cree and Métis beader living on the unceded and ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. I am member of the James Smith Cree Nation with maternal ties to the Piapot Cree Nation, and I was born and raised on Treaty 4 territory in Saskatchewan.
